  1. Wait for a strong hand and call them.
  2. Play only very strong hands. If you enjoy playing on-line a lot you should read Online Poker by Doyle Brunson. It is a great book written only about online play. it give me many different ideas on how to improve my game. Also when you play in play money games people will play almost anything because they know that if they run out of chips they can always get more.
  3. Play money games are ok for beginners to get a feel of how to play and how a game runs. After that, it's worthless except as a way to kill time. Too many morons who push all-in with anything. I'd suggest that if you want to get good, put some money into an on-line account and play the games bigger than .01/.02 or even .05/.10 games. Either that or either start your own home game or find one you can play in, or go to a card room. Live poker is better anyway.
  4. Play this strtegy http://www.pokerwildgame.com/poker-strategy/springing-the-trap.html Most check-raises should be made when you have a strong hand
  5. I like that you're asking questions to improve your game. And honestly, that is enough for me to add something else to your question of rating you. You're definitely above average simply because you care and want to improve. If you could elaborate on what your strategy is, and why big all in's hurt it that would be helpful. If a person is playing strong poker, the best thing to do is simply avoid them. Play pots with those who are more timid. Just because you're at the same table doesn't mean you have to fight with him, just yet anyway. If on the other hand, it's a player who is just super loose, shoving all in hand and hand again, then the table will get tired of him. If you pick up a solid hand, for me probably {AA-JJ, AK, AQs, maybe 10 10}, and look him up. If you don't, somebody is going to. There's only so many time a bully can keep shoving before somebody pushes him back. I'd really like to help you more so I'll try shooting you an email, feel free to do the same.
