- Don't go there. It will change your life in a bad way.
- Most online Poker Sites are not rigged. The cards are all drawn up at random. However the possibility still exists and unfortunately a lot of these companies are based offshore away from US and Canadian soil where it is legal for them to set up online gambling. If you gamble online you take a risk, but you are playing other people online. Hope this helps.
- The only people that think online poker is rigged are the people that suck and/or they haven't played live so they think, omfg!!! that guy just hit a 1 outer. People sucking out on the river or hitting runner runner happen way more often because you are dealt more hands online than live. The only poker site I wouldn't go on is AP. There might bee some bots, but they are really rare. And the only place where a SuperUser account was discovered was @ AP. Full Tilt and PStars are excellent sites, but I would recommend going with FT over PStars, more action. JudasHero-Online Poker sites do not make BILLIONS of dollars.
- The best sites like people say are full tilt and stars, I would reccomend you tilt. There isnt a site that shows how they are regulated, but they dont have sense to cheat as they win money from the rake. This is how the poker sites win.
- I'm glad I play live games because it gives me some perspective in regards to this. I actually agree that the majority of people whining about online sites being rigged are either a) not willing to take responsibility for their own mistakes, b) are lacking in patience and discipline, or c) simply do not have the experience to realize that BAD BEATS HAPPEN. Just last night, in one session of no limit hold em I saw quads three times (one player flopped quads, the other two times the other guy had a boat) and i saw a straight beat trips three (every time on the river). I went all-in heads up Ah4d vs. AsTc, and the Ah4d hit a straight flush on the river (it was losing the whole time). Ridiculous stuff happens in poker, online or otherwise. Besides, it's rather silly to assume that an online site making BILLIONS of dollars a year just hosting the site would run the risk of rigging. What for? So a few more players with $20 to waste will want to sit down longer? Risk losing their whole business for that? Doesn't add up.
- Why would a poker site want hands to be rigged? Imagine the amount of money they would lose if they were caught rigging a hand or tournament. It would just not be worth the risk for them to rig anything.
- I would second the thoughts of other posters in that Full Tilt and PokerStars are probably the best sites out there right now. They have proven to be safe and secure, and I have never seen any tangible information that either of the sites are rigged in any way. Both sites are checked by outside security firms to ensure fairness of the games and the random number generator that determines the cards that are dealt. Pokerstars is now offering marketing codes that can get players a bonus when signing up and entering the marketing code. Absolute poker is the only site in recent memory that has definitely had cheating going on. This was all caused by a dishonest, greedy higher up within the company. The insider had alot of company secrets, and was able to see the hole cards of others when playing.
