casino/poker question?
ive only been to the casino once and i stuck to the slot mahcines. are the card tables (or any of the games other than slot machines aka the games where theres a person running them) the highest skill level or do they have different level ones? my friend knows how to play poker (not very well) and wants to play but i didnt want him to get killed the second he sits down and lose all his money. should u only go to the tables if u either want to lose all ur money or unless ur very good at the games? p.s whats the game where they spin the wheel and u pick a number and if the ball lands on the number u win? that always looked fun but i didnt know what its called and if all u do is pick random numbers or if theres a strategy for these type of games sorry if these are dumb questions :( ive never played poker a day in my life so im all set with that one!! my friend has played maybe 20 times but never for money and always at home with friends so i just dont want him to sit at a table full of world champion poker players and getting eaten alive..i want his dignity to stay somewhat intact this weekend haha are all games basically a game of chance or are there strategies to playing them?

- Poker, look for ones with a small buy-in because then you know they aren't that serious. the spinning wheel is roulet. Look up games on the internet to learn how to play them and see if your still interested.
- There not dumb questions, just questions that most people know the answer to, thats lucky for you... any how the game is roulette and there is no skill levels in playing poker at a casino, the only scary thing is ever since texas hold em took off a few years ago going into the poker room could be a lil intimidating. My suggestion is if its your first time. go into the poker room dont get scared just ask questions ( it will probably be crowded) and stay at a low limit table until you feel comfortable. hope this was helpful.
- Table games are just as easy to play as any other game. You just have to ask the dealer how to play each game. The game you are talking about with the wheel is roulette.
- They are all about luck. Stay away from slots. How do you think casinos pay all the flashy things. Roulette. Poker is the only one where some skill comes into play.
- You are right to avoid the slots. They are one of the worst games in the casino for the player. The best game in the casino is indeed poker because there is no house-advantage (just a rake from the pot). I suggest playing at home with some friends to practice and then go to play $1/$2 limit. This is a low stakes game where you can buy-in with only $30 or $40. You can just fold every hand until you get the hang of it and it won't cost you much at all. Or if you want to play a table game with little pressure, play blackjack. It has some of the best odds for the player in the casino and other players and even the dealer himself can help you. Buy or download a blackjack strategy card and follow it every hand. It tells you when to hit, stay or double-down. Good luck and I am sure you will find the right game for you. P.S.
