How to Play Poker Videos
Does anyone know of any sites where you can pick the winning poker hand?Or strategies determining split pots?
I know high card pair two pair three of a kind straight flush full house four of a kind straight flush by heart but have a little bit of trouble determining split pots. for example lets say i have a k and my opponent had a 7 in texas holdem. lets say the cards on the board are 5 10 9 j 4. I believe i would win the hand because the five best cards that would play for me would be a k j 10 9. for my oppoent the best five cards that wpould play would be a j 10 9 7 therefore i would win the hand. ok i kind of get that but are there any sites where you can practice split pots or any strategies anyone has for being a little bit faster at determining who would win in situations like these where no one player has a pair on the board. in a situation where it might be a split pot lets say I have 5 7 and my oppoent has 2 3 lets say the cards on the board are a k j 10 9 i

- Just practice reading what the best 5 cards are between your 2 and the 5 on board. You don't need a site to do that. There is no hurry to pay the pot if you are not sure. Just talk it out what the best 5 card hand is whether you use 2, 1 or 0 of the cards in your own hand together with the community cards. First check for a flush or straight. If no flush or straight then if there is a pair then count that pair plus your best 3 other cards. BEST 5 CARDS. There are no tie-breakers. In your last example it is a split pot unless someone has a higher flush.
