How to Play Poker Videos

In Pokerstars, it seems like robots are playing,,,,?

Can somebody answer my question...I was playing this guy at pokerstars and he was playing 4 sng heads-up, one includes myself. He was betting so fast, i was surprise at his super-sonic speed. The flop would come and he would bet like in a matter of a mili second, while in the other sng he is still betting, calling, raising, etc. Ive seen ELKY play there in lots of tournies and sng, NEVER have I seen players act so quick as he did. Yes maybe he isnt a robot, or is he, BUT experience is not an answer. Please if somebody can answer my question...Anyways I ended beating him, but still I would like to know.

  1. I always had bad luck on Pokerstars. I used to think the people who cried "rigged" where clueless, and they usually where. I was succesful on most other sites, but on Pokerstars I always seemed to be unable to win regularly.
  2. He isn't a bot or anything. Rain Khan, the guy who made this years WSOP main event final table, has played something like 43 SnG's at once. They actually banned him because they thought he was a bot. He video taped himself doing it and they reopened his account. My guess is the guy just had one too many Red Bulls and played quicker than normal. It happens.
  3. Chances are he's using the buttons. When you bet there are other choices that come up and you can check that box and go on.
  4. Listen to Jonathan. If one man can play 43 tables at once, the average man can play at least 4. Experience is not needed necessarily. Sometimes it's just dumb luck. That's why poker is so alluring. Because you can play the best and the donkey at the end of the table can beat you. Good luck!
  5. Highly experienced pro players will frequently play that many games and often quickly. Your argument that it was a bot really doesn't make any sense. Why would someone program a bot to arouse suspicion by playing at inhuman speeds? Even the most basic bot is going to have a random delay loop in its program to look less like a bot.
  6. There's no real reason to think that this guy was a bot, just based on 4 tables and reaction time; there are too many other possible explanations (many already given here.) That being said, bots ARE being used, and with pretty strong results. A phenomenal analysis of some high stakes bot play on Full Tilt was recently done and discussed on 2+2's message boards. The level of detailed research the user put in makes a great story, and the (non)reaction of the site was frightening. Look it up!
