What is the net worth of professional poker player Phil Ivey?
Public Comments
- Not sure about his net worth, but I do LOVE to watch him play.
- That' s a tough one..... All I can tell you about PHIL IVEY is, for exemple , he played head-up against billionnaire ANDY BEAL for 3 days and won 16 MILLIONS, ( limit hol'dem , blind: 50.000$/100.000$).... He play the " big game" 3,4 time a week at the bellagio (blinds:4000$/8000$). And you can see him at fulltilt( last night for example )3,4 times a week, on 2,3 even 4 table, and he play the higher blinds. He say himself he can win/ lose 400.000$ in one night. Hope that help, take care.
- Great question. Let's start with some "research": -ThePokerChronicles.com picked Phil Ivey as most likely to be poker's first billionaire. -Net winnings estimate of 5 million from yourdictionary.com I don't like the first analysis from PokerChronicles as much, as it relies on an estimate for hourly rate which isn't backed up with any additional sources. That leaves only the 5M estimate from yourdictionary.com. This leaves many questions still swirling around: "If I had 5M dollars, I wouldn't dream of playing the limits that I've heard Phil plays in" "Doesn't every article on bankroll management seem to contradict the supposed ratio of only 5M compared to the games and limits that Phil plays?" I believe that the answer to these questions is twofold. -First, life "at the top" is quite different from lives of regular poker players. They are treated differently, they know all the tendencies of all the players who they consider their peers, and those they don't know are typically much worse players. -Second, they typically have other sources of income. Appearance fees, lessons, online appearance fees, endorsements, books, etc. It's not difficult to imagine that the sum of these "non-poker" revenues might outweigh the poker revenues, and certainly they are much more stable. Hope this helps, even though I know I didn't answer your question explicitly!
- Pokercoach nailed it, basically never gonna be the same +/- all the time. same goes for all pros and ammatures life as a poker player is consatly up and down
