Better poker player-Phil Ivey or Phil Hellmuth ?

1. Phil Ivey, the other phil has a big mouth
2. phil ivey he is a very good player he has been in the finals plenty of times.
3. Phil Hellmuth. As good as Ivey is. Hellmuth has won more WSOP braclets then Ivey.
4. what game? in no limit tournaments, i would say phil hellmuth no question. in cash games, according to the other pros, ivey is one of the best. as for the other games, i havent a clue
5. Hellmuth has about 10 WSOP bracelets where Ivey has just 2. Although I'd rather be playing against Ivey as he doesn't berate other players.

7. if you are going by the hardware, hellmuth is the choice. i like ivey better just because he is quiet, plays his game, and doesnt berate players.
8. ivey is the better player, he plays in the biggest cash games in the world, plays more games well than hellmuth, and in addition is a fantastic tournament player also...hellmuth is a great tournament player but he has never won a wsop title in a non-hold 'em event, and in addition the fact that he supposedly plays very poorly in the big cash games that ivey excels at further shows the problems he has playing many games

10. Definitly Phil ivey. He has the most agressive style ever, but it pays off. He isnt a maniac because he knows when the agression will pay off and when to stop. The only thing that Hellmuth got on Ivey is he has more bracelets.
11. Better poker player? Ivey hands down. He can play cash games...he can play all the common games very well. Better NL tournament player? Probably Hellmuth since he has won 10 bracelets all in HoldEm. But Hellmuth doesn't dominate Ivey in NL tourneys either. While Ivey routines owns Hellmuth in cash games, when Hellmuth is stupid enough to play in them.
12. If we are talking about just no limit hold em you can give me Phil Helmuth all day long, he has 10 w.s.o.p titles and even though he has a big mouth on him, he is one of the all time greats. But if we are taking any other game I'll take Mr.Ivey for sure, i 15 years we will be talking about Ivey as the best there ever was.
