How to Play Poker Videos

On line poker to be banned?

70 million amercans play poker, and our representatives have decided for us that there will be no more playing online. How preposterous is it that poker will be banned, but horse race gambling will still be allowed over the web? I was raised with the impression that in a free society, Adults can do as they please as long as they do not injure others. Anything short of this is not a free society. If we want to smoke, drink, gamble, be promiscuous..isnt that our own business? Who does government think they are? This countrty was founded by folks that did not want some one else's version of so called 'morality' rammed down thier throats by government.

  1. gambling should be banned period
  2. I agree Seven Nine.
  3. poker is a great game and there is nothing Wong with gambling so long as you stay within your means but online i believe it should be banned there is no way to govern against cheating and all those poker sites that you can wager on are based out side of the u.s.a. and don't abide by our rules and laws
  4. You said it. Freedom is the ability to make bad choices. Until the people of our government realize this we will never live in a free society.
  5. I agree with everything the questioner said. I am outraged by this. Government takes 1/3 of people's income and spends it as they wish! Why do they get a say in how we spend the rest? You can voice your discontent at http://www.petitiononline.com/LOGNOW/petition.html
  6. What's really surprising is the manner in which this came to pass. The bill was tacked on a Port Security bill that is completely unrelated, on the last day and given no time for debate. This bill and prior efforts were studiously nixed and I find it strange that there's such a sneaky way to pass laws - an activity that is the basis of the legislative process. It's total abuse of the system. Talk about hypocritical... Since gambling (online or otherwise) will never go away, this will open the door to many lesser known (and lesser esteemed) online gaming sites that will rip people off. And people will end up gambling and even losing their winnings. I personally researched the heck out of online sports betting before choosing BetBug at http://www.betbug.com (peer to peer is the only way around the US wire act by betting against other people and not sports bookies) to make my sports wagers, but I know for a fact that very few others do the same sort of research. What is wrong with regulating the industry? Look at the UK and all the money they're getting back in taxes.
