I dont think anyone will catch phil hellmuth in the bracelet race in our lifetime..?
I garantee it...who else agrees with me? if anyone was to do it, I would say Allen Cunningham could do it..

- If you are talking about World Series of Poker bracelets, I agree. There are just way too many entrants in the series now for any one player to have a chance to win on a consistent basis.
- it can definitely be done. first, it's entirely reasonable to think the WSOP could expand the number of events to 70, 80, even 100 or more considering the unparalleled success of poker right now. second, who knows if the next stu ungar is out there right now playing in the sandbox. few would disagree that if stu had been able to manage his personal life he would have a BUNCH more bracelets to his credit. the next poker savant may be out there. the number of entrants surely hurts the chances of winning a bunch of bracelets, but if the US gov't cracks down on online gambling, the number of entrants will drop DRAMATICALLY. so many variables, but the bottom line is it can be done.
- He can definitely be caught. He has 11 bracelets. Johnny Chan is only one Helmuth and has many years left to play. Cunningham could certainly do it with 5 bracelets at age 30. Phil Ivey is only 31 and has 5 wins as well. We're talking many years before we can end this debate as these professionals can still play well into their later years. We're talking 20-30 years before we know how it will shake out. I like Ivey to end up with the most bracelets. He loves the tournament format and WSOP in particular and I think he still is improving.
- To hard to say, I don't think we will be discuss that in 30 years...But several player under the age of 35 have already 4, 5, bracelets.....Anything can happen. But still, It doesn't matter HELLMUTH would in the top 5 bracelets winner. Take care
- no, someone will catch him in the next year or so, either doyle or chan, but by the end of our lifetime there's a good chance you're right...i think his biggest threat over the rest of our generation will be ivey, with cunningham probably a close second
- They keep adding more and more tourneys, and guys are winning 2 and 3 a year, so I think someone will. I don't think anyone will win 2 main events again, though.
