If I have been a professional poker player for a year, should I include it for a finance job on my resume?
I'm a finance major from a very good college. For the past year, I was a high limit poker player in Las Vegas. Is it wise for me to include this on my resume when applying for finance related jobs?

- Ummm, only if you want to continue to collect unemployment. I would hire an excon who was convicted of murder for a finance job before I would hire a gambler, professional or otherwise. If you DO include it, you might refer to it as day trading.
- No; however, be prepared to explain the gap in employment during an interview.
- My gut instinct tells me no. Financial companies are usually pretty conservative in their thinking. Discuss it at the interview if it comes up.
- As most finance company's rely on gambling ,you will be welcomed like the prodigal son.
