How to Play Poker Videos

Do you think professional poker players should be allowed to wear sunglasses while playing?

  1. what does that have to do with playing cards? I think they should be able to wear whatever they want
  2. I don“t think so, if they are playing honestly, why should they "hide" their eyes!!
  3. only if they are rock stars should they ever wear sunglasses indoors for any reason
  4. No. I see it as a form of cheating. It's kinda like playing football with a body guard right around you. I realize that they have the team to guard them but you get what I'm saying. Ooh! I have a better one. It's like playing hockey with a mafia on the ice to fight for you. Is that better?
  5. Yes, if I played poker, you would probably know what my hand was just by looking at my eyes. Some have a great poker face, some do not, I say let the glasses stay!
  6. The rules in any game or sport are fair if the rule applies equally to all parties involved. Do all professional poker players have the choice to wear sunglasses or not if they choose. I don't know, I'm assuming they do so what's the problem.
  7. It doesn't bother me. Who cares if they wear them. Or if they decide to wear them upside down like a complete idiot. Don't even get me started with Fossil's glasses. What a dork!.
  8. As long as they're not wearing mirrored sunglasses.
  9. Yes, but not for the reason you might think. There are a few people who honestly need sunglasses because of an eye disease. A casino can't ban them from making a living ('professional' poker) without being hit by an Americans with Disabilities Act. And they can't allow sunglasses for some and not for others.
  10. I think it should be their choice. True, it prevents your opponent from being able to read your hand based on your face but at the same time, if you are a good player, you can use your eyes to mislead your opponents too. Sun glasses to me show weakness so I prefer to play without them.
  11. Why not?
  12. They should definitely be allowed to wear sunglasses because it doesn't affect the game at all. Besides, everyone is allowed to wear sunglasses so no one gets an advantage. If you are truly skilled at poker, you can tell when the other person is bluffing even if he is wearing sunglasses.
  13. Well, I am a professional poker player and honestly, can't imagine what prompted the question. Why on earth would this be an issue? Anyway, I wear sunglasses on top of my head while playing - never over my eyes. It certainly doesn't bother me that others wear them though.
  14. im my estimation it does not matter at all, i dont look at someones eyes when they play i look for betting patterns and the way he plays his hands, i,e will he bet his draw, does he play tight or loose. Although there are some physical tell that i look for reading eyes is not reliable for a tell. some tells you can look for are how he bets his chips, does he trow them out there or does he nicley stack them. does he stare at the flop a lot looking for something thats not there. how fast does he bet his hands out.
