why sports channels such as ESPN broadcast so many poker games? Is poker really consider as a sports? Why are poker players be even consider as athletes? I think Poker is at most consider as a "Game" and maybe should be on game show channels? I'd liket to know who's behind pushing the gambling on a sports channels? The goal is to make as many young kids thinking they can make a living gambling? What do you thinkk?

- Poker players are NOT athletes! ESPN broadcasts poker because it gets good ratings. Poker is vary popular right now and ESPN will jump on any bandwagon it can. Pritty soon you will see MMA(UFC) on ESPN.

- no it is not a sport, ESPN has also broadcasted the spelling bee and dominoes as well. they only put them on there because of the ratings they recieve from them
