  1. Get a Dummies book and read it.
  2. http://www.worldpokertour.com/ will be the only place to learn from. Learn from the best!
  3. Learn the lingo and what they mean. For example: Straight flush, 4 of a kind, flush, 3 of a kind, Straight, 2 Pair, 1 Pair and high card. If you are learning for the first time, I suggest playing 5 Card Draw. Once you know that than learn to play Texas Hold'em! Learning to play poker is easy. Playing is the hard part!
  4. Go to Yahoo games, play Poker there, you can start as a beginner and work your way up to advanced when ever you want. Or get a group of friends together who know that you aren't very good, play for fun, or cash coins. Print off the rules to poker to help you learn the hands, and different games.

  6. google poker rules and hands. minutes to learn, lifetime to master.
  7. i am just telling you the basics, for deeper knowledge search the net poker is a game which can be played by as many as 10 players !in yahoo games u can). each one is given two cards and five cards are opened in the centre. each player has to make a hand of five with the help of his card as well as the five cards. the cards making the best combination wins. the winning combinations in decreasing order are : Royal Flush: The five highest cards in a suit- ace, king, queen, jack, and ten, all of the same suit. If you get this hand, put on your best poker Face and let the money pour in. Straight Flush: Any five cards of the same suit that are in consecutive order. Not as grand as a Royal Flush, but still a great hand to get. Four of a Kind: Four cards of the same number or face. This is still a rare hand to get. Go ahead and bet high, in order for someone to beat you they would have to have a higher 4 of a kind, straight flush, or royal flush. Full House: Any three cards of the same suit, in addition to any pair of a different denomination. If another player has a full house in hand also, the tie is broken by which ever player has the denomination of the three-card suit. Flush: Any five non-consecutive cards of the same suit. (Diamonds, hearts, clubs, or spades) Straight: Any five consecutive cards of a different suit. In this case, the ace can count as a one or an ace. (Ace, two, three, four, five) Three of a Kind: Three cards of the same denomination. (Ace, ace, ace) Two pair: Any two cards of the same denomination in addition to another two cards of the same denomination of another suit. (Two, two, & jack, jack) One pair: Any two cards of the same denomination. (ace, ace) High Card: The person holding the highest card when no other player has any of the other sets. (Ace beats king etc.) these are the basics. at online games you will come across terms like raise, call, fold. meanings : raise - raising the current ongoing bet call - betting the ongoing bet fold - surrender
