- I would strongly recommend NOT playing on Absolute Poker. The New York Times, amongst others, has discussed that Absolute Poker rigs their games.
- A lot of people make a big deal about what happen. Sure it's suck, and that was wrong. But it could at happen on any sites. Also the site was able to quickly find out who was "cheating" And they toke big action, on the situation. I suggest you, and everybody actually to listen to Mark Seif during that interview. http://www.rawvegas.tv/watch.php?vID=c20a0208043f44a52629bfdc684f60
- Sites like Pokerstars, Full Tilt Poker and Party Poker (Not available in US) are reputable online poker sites that have a history of dealing with scandals/cheating and not trying to sweep them under the rug. Also, as the the person who answered above me: This was handled horribly by Absolute Poker and they tried to deny that cheating had taken place until the online poker community basically overwelmed them with evidence. They were forced into admitting what happened. Some players have not even been compensated for the cheating and there's some worry that Absolute may be in financial distress. Here are some links to read from the website that broke the story (along with pocketfives.com). Mark Seif Interview (he doesn't seem to do himself any favors here, he's been accused of being involved in this matter) http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showflat.php?Cat=0&Board=beats&Number=12688533&page=0&fpart=1 Current Absolute Poker thread http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=12650247&page=0&fpart=1&vc=1&nt=10
