Life is like a poker game....?
I've decided that life is like a game of 5 card stud. You play the cards you're given or fold. Whatever's in your hand is what you get, and you make the best of it. Some people get Royal Flushes (e.g. Bill Gates, The Hiltons, Bono, ect.) Others people have lives more like a pair of 2's ( Katrina victims, people in the Middle-East, whatever) The trick is to play your hand like you're gonna win no matter what the other guy has. Some of us settle for what we've got, and others bluff their ass off. It's all in the game of Life. and God is the dealer.

- Throw out the cards and get with God! You will win everytime.
- Nice metaphore, yet remeber you can change part of your hand if you need it and you have to see how much you bet in which moment, therefore life would not be just like one hand of poker but a whole nigth of playing. At the end someone ends up losing and someone ends up winning, someone may cheat, some more, some less yet all should have had fun during that and there is no point of holding grudge. whatever happens, smile and you would not have lost that much. By the way It would be useful for you to make some hard lecture about instead of just making your own methaphores, philosophy and religion WILL HELP
- Personally I think it is more like Hold'em. You are going to come across important decisions, if you make the correct ones most of the time you will be a winner. It does not matter what cards you get because you can win without good cards. Instincts are what matters. Bottom line is that for each choice, one of them is the better choice so it is up to the player. I suck at Hold'em, I always go all in with a draw.
