- If the bar has a regulated gambling license, then yes. Otherwise, you are committing a crime and should be aware of that. Chances of anyone giving a shit: pretty much zero.
- in most states its ilegal to gamble anywhere unless its licenced but if theres not like big money going across the table then its not prosecuted cops got better things to do
- probably not, except in Vegas or other casinos
- Yes - unless you are playing for money of other remuneration. It's not against the law to play cards; it's against he law to gamble ( in most states)
- Until recently, May 2006, the only *legal* card game allowed on a licensed premise was euchre. It is now OK to play Texas hold em on a licensed property but it is against the LCC regulations to give or promise to give at any time anything of monetary value. The only prize allowed is a plaque or certificate. No entry fee waived, nothing of value and no cash allowed. Sorta defeats the purpose of allowing the game? 4 times a year you can apply for a *millionaires license* through a non profit organization and then hold poker tournaments. The local police department enforce the LCC regulations and can certainly ticket you. The fine and the chance of losing your liquor licnse is hardly worth the risk. This is the law that applies to a class C liquor license in Michigan. (on premise bar, club, etc.)
