How to Play Poker Videos

Me and some friends play texas holdem poker.?

What should our blind be? We play with 40 chips and we usually have a blind at 2 but when someone goes out we raise it to 6. then 8 then 10. This seems like too much with only 5 people playing with 40 chips each. Chips are all worth the same amount for us also. What should our blind start at and how should we raise it as the game goes on. Numbers please.

  1. 2-4-6 that's the max you should go to enjoy the game anymore and you would be nearly going all in to often to win game, then you are relying luck to win
  2. try playing limit hold'em keeping the blinds a 1 and 2 and only rase up to 6 that will keep the game fun
  3. well there are two blinds, small and big. the small blind is always half of the big blind. so do 1/2 (small blind/big blind) then 2/4 then 3/6 then 4/8 then 5/10 and so on
  4. Are you using a "big blind" and a "small blind"? It's tough to tell from the question. If not, you should unless, you're using it more as an ante that everyone pays per hand. We run a monthly tournament in my neighborhood that averages about 30 guys. Everyone begins with $200 in chips (varying in denomination from $1 up to $25). We begin with blinds at $2 big blind and $1 small blind. In the spirit of keeping it "friendly", we keep the blinds at $2 & $1 for the first hour. After that, we double the blinds amounts every 30 minutes. If you don't, a 30-person tournament can run for 6 to 8 hours! With 5 guys and each beginning with $40 in chips, starting off with a $2 big blind & $1 small blind is pretty much as low as you can begin based on your statement that "chips are all worth the same amount..." Try either adding more chips or having chip values varied based on the number of different colored chips you can get your hands on. You can buy a set of 500 chips with 5 different colored chips at most retail stores for under $40 these days. Good luck!
  5. start at 2/4 blinds, and then every 15 minutes raise it to 3/6, and 4/8 so on.. 40 chips will go quick if you try. or set ur own blind-time limit.
  6. At the start of a no-limit tournament, the first big blind is typically around 1/100 of the starting chip stack. So you should go buy some more chips.
