How important do you think is your name in poker?
I've noticed that the greatest poker players always have those cool and catchy names like phil ivey, phil helmuth, greg raymer, johnny chan.. They have a cool name they can live up too.... And I also think this is and important aspect in online poker... Unfortunuately, for me, the name that I called myself on pokerstars really sucks and they won't allow any name changes....And I find myself losing time and time again.. What do you think I should I do? Or there any other pokersites as good as pokerstars besides fulltilt?

- At pokerstars, the name isn't nearly as important as the avatar picture. When you submit the picture, pokerstars sets a "luck" level on your account. The better pictures get a lot luckier.
- Your name is not important at all. Tom Dwan's user name is durrrr and Gavin Smith's user name used to be birdguts. I don't think the user names are clever and to me, they side on the lame side and both players have had very successful poker careers (just to name a few). If you really feel self conscious about it, you should just create a new account and transfer your money to the new account. Technically this is against the terms and conditions of Full Tilt and Poker Stars, but if they catch you, you can just explain the situation and they will most likely just shut down the original account. You will most likely still be allowed to play.
