How to Play Poker Videos

which poker game is more odds based?

I have only played holdem but out of holdem, stud and omaha which has more calculations of probability. Not really sure how to phrase it but I want to know which of those games would be worst to play a computer against. Essentially which relies less on bluffing and more on responding to the cards you are given. Ask for clarification if I havn't managed to explain this correctly Thanks in advance!

  1. This is the way I look at it.. If I'm sitting at a hold-em game with 8 other players.. law of average says I'm going to win 1 out of 9 hands. Omaha H/L 8 with 6 other players law of average says I will win at least 1/2 of the pot around every fourth hand. Now putting a little bluffing in there.. and making some good reads and lay downs you can improve on these numbers. Oh Ya.. don't forget a little luck helps to. There are some players that get away with horrific bluffing. Personally I seem to do much better playing solid cards .. ya.. I'm sure I get bluffed. But.. Laying down ten winners to a bluffer is better than calling 1 hand ya lose for all in. (tournament play)
  2. I'm going to suggest that stud is probably the easiest for a computer to play. Because in seven card stud each player can have up to four of their cards face up. A computer can remember every single visible folded card. Even after a player has folded. In games that use community cards like Hold'em and Omaha, there is less information out there in terms of visible cards. Although in Omaha the computer player has four cards to look at, along with five community cards, which may help odds calculations a little. So based on this logic I'm going to rank it as follows: 1) Stud 2) Omaha 3) Hold'em Where 1 is the highest computer advantage and 3 is the worst. Computers work on data, so a game that has more available data like stud should be the winner here.
  3. the game with the more cards has more calculations...but against a computer a bluff is senseless
  4. In my opinion, it totally depends on the number of players that are playing a game at a given time because the more players that are playing, the odds of winning vary accordingly. Normally, I think that texas holdem poker relies less on bluffing and more on how you respond to the cards in a given hand. Hope this helps!
