How to Play Poker Videos
HELP I need some online poker strategy?
I will first state that I am not that bad at poker. For example I got fifth in a live 80 person tourney. I just started playing online t-holdm with a 100 bucks. I am now down to 3.83. A couple of times when I was down to 10 dollars i doubled it, but my problem is I get greedy and end up losing more than I made. Does anyone have any suggestions on what tables/sit&go's/tournies I should play. Also does anyone have a comeback story from a small amount they could share. I play the 0.01/0.02 games but it takes forever. Everyone is making it so difficult to pick best answer. I have learned something from each of you. Thanks

- wow if you started with 100 and are now down to 3.83, that means that you are playing way higher stakes than you should be. i make a rule that i only allow myself to play 5% of my net worth, so if I lose it, I'll still have 95% left to play with. don't sit down at a table with half your net worth and expect to double up all the time, cuz its not gonna happen. it's better to win small pots than to have huge swings, cuz the swings will make you crazy and take you off your game. when you get on tilt after a bad beat (it's prone to happen), take a 30 minute break (go drink some water, jog, shower, whatever, to get your mind off poker), then return to the game. never continue playing when you are on tilt, or you'll continue losing money. so remember the golden rule of online poker: divide and conquer.

- Online is significantly different than live. That 5th in that 80-person tourney you are talking about probably has the talent of a typical $5 tourney at Stars or Tilt. And thats just one result, maybe you got lucky in that tourney, we have no idea how good you are. You definitely can't be greedy at low online limits because almost certainly someone will look you up. In general you should be playing tighter than your opponents and bluffing not very often. Currently your roll really cant sustain anymore downswings, but since you cant go lower than 0.01/0.02, I would try to rebuild from there and/or reload. I rebuilt a roll of 0.80 once on 0.02/0.04 limit tables to 50 bucks once...but i usually play $1/$2 limit and one day I drove that $50 in the ground. So it can be done...but you have to be a good, disciplined player in the first place, and many people arent.
