  1. It is very difficult to make it to the final table, even as a pro. In the world series of poker, you have too many amateurs calling hands that normally a pro would fold and then they get lucky. It also doesn't help him, that most have seen him play so many times, that they know what type of player he is, and he has no idea what type of player he is against. Plus he wrote a book which gives a good idea of what he thinks.
  2. he has played many event and placed high again this year (79th) if i remember right he was on tv a lot and was even given a warning after he appealed a penalty.. by berating and continuously calling a player an "idiot' i watched many events and for the main event i watched every episode
  3. Phil Hellmuth seems to focus on the WSOP. He wants to win bracelets in order to continue to have the most in the history of the WSOP. He currently has eleven, which makes him the record holder. Being on a WPT final table is tough, not only because of the size of the fields, but also because their definition of a final table is the top 6. So if you make it to 7th, which is still pretty amazing in a tournament like that, you won't be on TV. Also, I get the impression that Phil Hellmuth probably doesn't feel the need to run around the world going to tournament after tournament, because he has so many more options these days. His fame has opened a lot of doors to make money in other ways. It seems to me today that the definition of a true poker professional is one that doesn't have to play if he doesn't want to.
  4. The poker brat has a target (bulls eye) right square in the middle of his forehead. Players will stay in hands on the draw just to hear him squeal.
