- depends where and if your playing for $$$$
- If it private, age don't matter. 18 is legal in most states.
- Most gambling sites wont allow people under 18 to play, but there are so many underage people who play online gambling games. Its easy to pretend to be 18 and be able to play online games. So the answer is 18 for most sites.
- Hi, Behind closed doors in someone's home you can be as young or old as you like. It's private and does not matter. In fact I know of a young 14 year old boy who plays with his Dad's friends in home held games. The amazing thing is that he wipes the floor with the other players and regularly takes home the pot of cash. He developed his skills by studying the game long and hard and persuaded his Dad to buy him the 8 Audio CD set available at: www.swattexasholdem.com/2 It took him about 3 months to master the techniques on the CDs and now he is able to win against long time players 90% of the time. His Dad has had to sit up and take notice of his young son and he too is studying the CDs. It is home games where you can test out your prowess and really get to grips with the game. Hope this helps. - We play hold'um every weekend, with a few of the neighbors, and there's a girl who's 12 who can kick everyone's butt! Seriously! She came to the first game, saying "well, I don't know what I'm doing, I don't know how to play" but in the end, she won!!! Surprised the bejesus outta a few of us, that's for sure!! The moral - It doesn't matter how old you are. If you can play, play! Give it one game, and see if your gaming style is compatable with everyone elses. If you feel it's worth playing another game with them, go for it. If not, tell this buddy of yours "look, I didn't like playing with your friends. Lets go______ instead" *input something fun!* Good luck, and have fun!!!! ;o)
- It really depends on the laws where you live but if gambling is legal in your area then the minimum age is usually 18. Keep in mind that in many places that any form of gambling is illegal even if it is a home game. So the question of age ceases to be the issue but whether you are comfortable violating local gambling laws.
