How to Play Poker Videos

Where is a good place to play Texas Holdem in Downtown San Francisco?

Are there any good Casino's or Card room in downtown San Fran where I can get a game of poker? Preferably a sit & go

  1. I believe the closest place to San Francisco to play poker is in San Jose. At Bay 101. They have sit and go tables.
  2. Gambling is illegal in San Francisco. Most casinos in California are located in rural areas. You'll have to drive 1-2 hours outside of the city center to find a casino. And most of them are fairly depressing places (that cater to addicts rather than tourists). The largest casino in Northern California is Cache Creek. It's has a reasonable selection of restaurants and entertainment. Though if you've been to Vegas, you won't be impressed: http://www.cachecreek.com/
  3. There doesn't seem to be any card rooms in the city of SF but plenty of them just outside of the city along the penninsula and East Bay. The only card room I have played at in the Bay Area was in Pacheco at the CA Grand and it's not too bad, my friends go there all the time. There are plenty of card rooms in the metro area b/c poker is considered a game of skill and not chance so it's not subject to the same restrictions as casino's with slot machines and blackjack. here is a link that shows you the closest card rooms to SF: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=l&view=text&q=card+rooms&near=San+Francisco,+CA&ie=UTF8&hl=en&sa=N&start=0
  4. River Rock Casino, near Healdburg http://www.riverrockcasino.com/ in San Bruno- Artichoke Joe's http://www.artichokejoes.com/games.cfm in Colma- Lucky Chances http://www.lchances.com/ the later too are very crowded 24/7
