How to Play Poker Videos

I want to know how to play poker but i know nothing about it like what fold is or any if the stuff

1. game show network (GSN) has lessons on poker but I think the lessons are for people who know at least some of the basics. Find a friend or two to teach the basics. Avoid being lured into a game of "strip poker". "fold" means you think you have no chance of winning the current round so you fold up your cards and leave them face down.. then you do not have to make any more bets until the next round of cards is dealt. You lose what ever you have already bet but you do not have to keep betting on a losing hand. Sometimes people will continue to bet in hopes of bluffing the opponent and making them fold first.. but this is risky and usually for losers.
2. well, you should probably go down to Borders.. and look at some poker books for the rules and guidelines... the most important thing you need to learn is the hand ranking.... what beats what... once you learn that... it would make it easier to play...
