Does Omaha Poker have anything to do with Omaha Beach?

i have played poker for years now but the name Omaha has always remided me of the Omaha Beach Landings, is there any connection?

From what I have heard and read the origination of the game is disputed, but and old casino executive Robert Turner introduced Omaha into a casino setting when he showed the game to Bill Boyd who offered it as a game at the Golden Nugget Casino in Las Vegas. I believe Omaha Beach had to do with WWII
