I click on the accoubt option and it wont let me click on the select/change image button it remains gray.

I can't remember if this option is available to .net customers. In any case, download the real software from the .com site. The .net site is play money only and is only used because it is illegal to advertise the .com real money site on American TV. But all the same play money games are there on the .com site and you can definitely upload your own picture. Go to the lobby and under the Account menu is the option to change your image (or add one). Keep in mind that once you upload your image you can only ever change it once, so choose wisely. Once you upload it, you will have to wait a day or two for them to approve it. Once it is approved, you'll have your image.
You can only change your avatar if you sign up at pokerstars.com and play in the 'real money' games. The pokerstars.net site is for play money - it doesn't allow cash deposits, and has several other restrictions over the 'real money' site.
