- I've got a lucky Hawaiian shirt that I always wear, and my card protector is an Aquaman action figure (my nickname is Aquaman) that was given to me as a stocking stuffer years ago. And I win quite a bit more often than I lose. But the shirt and figure just get me in the right mindset to play cards, I don't think they really change anything. Poker is all about calm, disciplined, attentive action. The rituals and charms I use just help me achieve that state, like a Catholic with a rosary. The game where my superstitions REALLY get bad is craps.
- I've got s worn out baseball cap and a leather bracelet I wear at the tables. The ballcap has my personal rules for poker under the bill, things like "no alcohol" (yeah, right) and "show the trash to infuriate, muck the nuts to complicate". And so on...
