How to Play Poker Videos

Marge foolishly gets into a high stake poker game with Mr. Burns. She loses (badly).?

Beside herself with grief and shame, she nevertheless feels obligated to pay her gambling debt. She writes on the back of a napkin: “I Marge grant to Mr. Burns the house known as 512 Springfield Way”. She signs the napkin. When she returns home, her husband is shock to learn of her actions. Does Mr. Burns now own 512 Springfield Way? Explain. What should the clerk at the Springfield County Record’s Office do when Mr. Burns takes the napkin in for recording? Why?

Public Comments

  1. It depends on whether Marge owns the house by herself or with Homer (and how they own it) and what jurisdiction Springfield is in.
