  1. Learning the basic rules of the game can be done in minutes - hours depending on your teacher. Learning betting strategies, odds calculations, and bluffing can take years of practice.
  2. Five minutes for the basics, a lifetime for the strategy.
  3. it would take you 5 minutes if you have a great explainer like i had:)
  4. just get a few people who can play it to show you the ropes, and help you as you go. it should only take a little while, about an hour? it's a pretty straight-forward game and the more you play, the better you'll get.
  5. Probably 5 years. If your real smart. If not, you probably never will learn. It's very expensive to play poker when starting out. Find a better way to spend your money. Or play poker for poker chips or matches or toothpicks, if you must play.
  6. It takes a minute to learn, and a lifetime to master.
  7. The great thing about poker is that it's a relatively simple game that is very quick and easy to learn. 5 minutes to learn the rules I would say and from then there are so many places to practice and improve online (for free)
