Is it just me or has ESPN become more of an entertainment network?
Seems like it's become more about things that I don't really consider sports - Poker, hot dog eating championships, and this weekend the rock-paper-scissors championship. Are these really the types of things people want to see on a "sports network"? OK - I understand the E is for entertainment - any got anything else to add? lol

- Very good point David. The thing is, almost everything you see on ESPN may not be considered a sport, but they are all at least a competition of some sort. And the bottom line is, if these shows didn't get good ratings, they wouldn't be on. Poker is huge right now. Hell, a rerun of last year's Main Event would probably still do better than an NHL game.
- well, all those activities that you mentioned above are shows of SPORTmanship...
- the E stands for ENERTAINMENT Sports Programming Network
