how do you play texas holdem? when do you/ what are check, fold, call...?

i have no idea what a check, fold, or call is...

  1. A check means you want to go a roind withut betting (not paying) Fold means you dont want to put in money because you have a bad hand ond you forfit your cards for that round Call means you are going to match someone else's bet

When it's your turn to act in a round of betting, your options depend on whether any player ahead of you has bet. If they have, you can call, raise, or fold. If they haven't, you can check or bet. call: You match the previous bets. raise: You match the previous bets and add some extra money. Players who act after you now have to match your raise to stay in. fold: You throw in your cards and drop out of the hand. check: You let the action pass without betting. bet: Works just like a raise. It's just not called a raise if you're the first person to bet in a round.
