How To Play Holdem Knowledge Base
I need to learn how to play Texas Holdem poker quickly? My new boyfriend and his friends play poker all the time, and I've never ever in my life understood card games like that. Where or how can I learn to play. Is there a website or something so I can have a little bit of knowledge so I don't look completely dumb next time there's a game.
How can I tell that I am ready to play Texas Holdem for real money? I don't wanna be the fish at the table everyone is making money off of. I've tried some online games with play chips and here's my results. On pogo, in a 4 player table, I finish first 35% of the time. On Full Tilt poker 90 player tournaments, I make the bubble about 15-20% of the time. I have little knowledge of pot odds however...
Want to play texas holdem poker. How do i start? I have been watching texas holdem poker for a while now on ESPN and have been playing it on computer for a while now. I want to get started because i want to see how it really feels like to play and maybe win some money. I am 20 right now so i know i cant go to Las Vegas and play for the big money. I have saved up quite a bit of money for the buy in. I want to join a tournament of a buy in of $500-2000 when i turn 21 and when i am off of school. Someone advised me to start low and play tournaments of $5-50 buy ins to get accustomed to the setting in casinos that allow you to play at 18 years of age or older. Any suggestions? Thanks

Where to play Texas holdem poker? I have been playing online for awhile and now I want to play at the tables. Does anybody know a website that lists where in the US you can play holdem at tables? Or perhaps a list of casinos where you can play. I am NOT looking for information about poker websites. I am looking for information about casinos where I can play live, not online. I am looking for a website that lists casinos where I can play live at the tables so I can hone my tell reading skills and table skills.
Me and some friends play texas holdem poker.? What should our blind be? We play with 40 chips and we usually have a blind at 2 but when someone goes out we raise it to 6. then 8 then 10. This seems like too much with only 5 people playing with 40 chips each. Chips are all worth the same amount for us also. What should our blind start at and how should we raise it as the game goes on. Numbers please.

exposing hand during heads up play. texas holdem poker.? in a tournament, heads up on the flop, my opponant made a large bet, there was a straight and flush draw possibility on the flop. I moved all in with my pocket aces and then turned my cards face up to my oppanant to let him know he was beat. I just wanted him to fold and me take the current pot rather than get sucked out on. He was on a flush draw and did decide to fold. others at the table got upset and said this was a mucked hand because i exposed it. exposing my hand only gave my oppanant an advantage and the knowledge to make a better decision so i dont see how this is breaking the rules. i can understand if there was three or more players to the hand but it was just the two of us. it was the first hand and i didnt want to go out so soon. Does anyone know the offical rule in this situation? is exposing your hand heads up allowed? certainly you can speak your hand so whats the difference. im looking for answers from real casino poker players here. not online or home games.

I would like a good reference for playing Holdem at the pot limit tables? Please give me hypper links to good advanced strategy poker tips. http://entertainment.howstuffworks.com/poker-basics-ga.htm I used this link, the holdem section has basics and some advanced tips. I studied it and now play at fulltiltpoker.org Kicking butt in the 50/100 tables. Now that I have some play money I'm looking at the pot limit tables. Can you give me tips? I started a week ago and now have over $12,000 in my bank. I think most of the people in 10/20 are fish. the players are tight weak or loose aggerssive at the 50/100 limit tables. I like loosse aggressive tables with big pots 5 or 6 players (easier to figure table odds) that enter too many hands that are weak. thanks
If you could play Texas Holdem against a celebrity who would it be? Its the final day of the World Series of Poker at the Rio in Las Vegas. You are at the final table playing Head to Head against a celebrity for a $10,000,000 First Prize. Who would you want the celebrity to be? It could be a movie star, sports figure, politician or a Professional Poker Player. Cleverest answer is best answer. Good Luck
Texas Holdem How do you play this hand? You raise 4 times the blind in third position with pocket 8's Two callers. Flop comes 7,8,10 rainbow. First position mucks his hand you bet third of the pot some one goes all in for 3 times the pot. What do you do? Yep i called as well. It was the first hand in a tournament, playing against a player i had never seen play before. Turned out he had Jack Nine. I think if you don't know anything about the player you should fold you can always win your chips back, if you are a good enough player that is.

Texas holdem: play comes to you in the pre-flop, which is bad strategy? No one has entered pot? a. Yu raise to pressure, drive others out, this forces others to doublle bet b. You limp in, cuz your hand needs imporvement, but allow others to see flop for cheap c.from middle/late, best to raise(but you have moderate cards) d. from early, best to raise ,if everyone folds ,you win e.UTG limps in , so you call(middle) w/ hands such as 8c-7c,4c-4s,Jd-Th,Ah-3h,etc..but there are others who may raise... ern: yes, what is a freeroll? http://pokerroom.com FullTiltPoker.com,bonus code heath342 http://doylesroomcom/?refid=shaqdr http://www.vipprofits.com/?affiliate=257 wildraf: yes.... Texas Holdem-Tournament Play? Do find you play a different game while playing in a tournament than you do at a "sit and go" tournament (Internet play)? Also-You think people play the "freeroll" internet tournaments more aggressively than they would in a real event with cash on the line? You think the people who consider themselves good players would play differently? In other words, the pressure of playing for hard cash has an effect on the players...
