What edge can you expect if playing a perfect strategy low stakes poker? Im thinking that if you play low stakes poker (Im not sure if it would work for no limit or just limit?), and you play a perfect strategy then you wont have to think as the players at lower limits are not good players gernally, and you could even get a bot to play for you. Best Online Poker Strategy Book? I'm looking for a book for my holiday, and since I'm going on holiday to Florida on the 6th of July, I would like something read. I have just started internet poker, Full Tilt Poker to be exact. Considering there is no specific book I would like, I feel it would be a worthy investment in buying a online poker strategy book. I'm looking for one that tells you pretty much every hand to play, when to bet, how much to bet, when to fold, which draws and OESD's to play. Literally everything. Anyone got any opinions? Holdem fan. What are the differences between strategy of real vs on line poker.? I have played poker for 35 years. In the Navy and a lot of Saturday night frinds games with 5 or 6 people. I have recently started playing Holdem on line and people react differently with play money but there are players that have millions on line. First how do they get that much money especially in YAHOO holdem at $1.00/$2.00. there isnt enough hours in a life to do it by my calculations. Yahoo seems to bet bet bet before the flop to raise the pot and I dont play there any more, plus the people are rude. Poker stars and Full tilt: I just started a week ago at full tilt poker.org I played in the 5/10 format until last night and being new to Holdem I studied the advanced tips in How it works .com. These rules dont apply at the 5/10 level. Last night I went to the $50/100 tables and kicked their butts. $7,000 in 1-1/2 hours. I'm more used to the 5 and 6 player format that allows you to bluff with out (Capt. Stay alot) ruining your game. Need hyper links to tips.
I need Help With my Poker Strategy...Something Is in My Way? well, i do well in play money tournaments but when a person starts betting all in; or betting very big all the time.....it really starts to kill my strategy...what should i do in this situation.

HELP I need some online poker strategy? I will first state that I am not that bad at poker. For example I got fifth in a live 80 person tourney. I just started playing online t-holdm with a 100 bucks. I am now down to 3.83. A couple of times when I was down to 10 dollars i doubled it, but my problem is I get greedy and end up losing more than I made. What happens if you refuse to let your hole cards be seen on televised poker tournament events? What if someone was playing at a WPT final table or a WSOP televised event and didn't want to show their hole cards to the camera? Please only answer if you have concrete information to share. It's not as silly a question as it sounds because I'm sure there are plenty of players who aren't exactly thrilled about exposing their poker strategies and tactics to anyone who might be watching (i.e. future opponents) by revealing what they have in the hole.

As said you certainly cover all the pitfalls of gambling ie getting in debt with nasty folk. that you will always loose. that never take loans or gamble with what you cannot loose etc., But here the point is usuing a game to cover all the above and help say with mathes and social skills. The best card counters were at the top engineering uni in the us MIT Sarah thats what I was thinking... Not so much the gambling side other then to make it fun... You could use sweets or forfets

I just started playing poker for real money...currently nano stakes but im looking for a bank roll strategy that would maximize my profit not too fast or too slow but in balance and the best type of game to play to maximize my profit,fixed limit,pot limit or no limit. Poker Strategy Advice? I started playing NL ring games recently at the .50/1.00 blinds. Everything I read strategy wise tells me to play pretty tight and fold hands that I know are beat before the flop. I've found that I make most of my profits by playing hands I know are losing but hit the flop hard and then get paid by the person who raises preflop with their big hand. Here is an example in case my explanation wasn't clear. I'm sitting in the cutoff seat with 77. The player UTG raises to $5 and. One caller inbetween us, and then I call. I flop set or better, and usually if either the raiser or other caller has big pair pays me off. I know I'm only gonna hit a set 1 in 8 times but if I call this preflop raise 8 times for $40 total and hit my set once and make $60 then I am showing a profit. What I'm trying to say is that I find I'm more successful going into hands behind than when I go in ahead, and overplay my big hand. I almost always get paid when I hit a hand when I'm behind. Is this normal?

casino/poker question? ive only been to the casino once and i stuck to the slot mahcines. are the card tables (or any of the games other than slot machines aka the games where theres a person running them) the highest skill level or do they have different level ones? my friend knows how to play poker (not very well) and wants to play but i didnt want him to get killed the second he sits down and lose all his money. should u only go to the tables if u either want to lose all ur money or unless ur very good at the games? p.s whats the game where they spin the wheel and u pick a number and if the ball lands on the number u win? that always looked fun but i didnt know what its called and if all u do is pick random numbers or if theres a strategy for these type of games sorry if these are dumb questions :( ive never played poker a day in my life so im all set with that one!! my friend has played maybe 20 times but never for money and always at home with friends so i just dont want him to sit at a table full of world champion poker players and getting eaten alive..i want his dignity to stay somewhat intact this weekend haha are all games basically a game of chance or are there strategies to playing them?

However, i have tried to do some research and i have never found anything that was even more advanced on the net. Question about different variations of poker? I have a home game going about once a week and we always play dealer's choice. Most of us choose Texas Hold Em (I occasionally mix it up with 7 card stud and 5 card draw) but one player loves changing the game up every time. He's introduced us to a lot of variations, some of which I've liked: Pineapple, Omaha Hi, Lowball and Anaconda. Does anyone know: a) any online poker sites that offer these games? (I realize Omaha is quite popular, so exclude that one from this question) b) Any sites that offer strategy on these variations? As a side question, can anyone explain what a "triple draw" game is? For instance, on Poker Stars, they offer 2-7 Triple Draw.

poker what should I do? I love to play card games and stuff. With the boom of poker I found my self playing at least 30-40 hours a week online but for fun only. I have played for money and lost some but when I stick to my strategy I find my self-winning a lot. When I play in person even know it’s with family and friends I tend to break even if not win. I want to know if I should try this thing out for real to try to make a living? I have gotten better over the years I have been playing for at least 3 years now.
