How can I turn 300.00 into 10,000 like chris ferguson using his rules? I'll never buy into a cash game or a Sit & Go with more than 5 percent of my total bankroll (there is an exception for the lowest limits: I'm allowed to buy into any game with a buy-in of $2.50 or less). I won't buy into a multi-table tournament for more than 2 percent of my total bankroll and I'm allowed to buy into any multi-table tournament that costs $1. If at any time during a No-Limit or Pot-Limit cash-game session the money on the table represents more than 10 percent of my total bankroll, I must leave the game when the blinds reach me.

Is it better to gamble at your best game or be disciplined at a weaker game? I am trying to build up a bankroll from nothing like Chris Ferguson just did at Full Tilt ($10,000 starting with 0). I opened a new account at Poker Stars, entered a freeroll, and won a dollar. I then entered a $0.02/0.04 ring game and built my bankroll to a whopping $1.20. Now I have enough to enter a tournament, a s'n'g, or the micro ring games. I play medium stakes single table s'n'gs on FT for my poker income, and I usually cash about 2/3 of the time. That's my strongest game. The only problem is that if I enter one on PS it'll be for my entire bankroll. I could enter tournaments for as little as a dime, but the likelihood of cashing goes down and I'm moderately weaker at multi table tournaments. Then you have limit ring games, which you can play for pennies, but they're my weakest game. Obviously the most disciplined maneuver would be to grind the ring games until the sng wasn't such a huge % of my bankroll. But it's less certain that I'll win. Any thoughts or opinions?

In full tilt poker, how do you turn play money into real money? Like what Chris Ferguson did, how do I do that?

Are free rolls a different game entirely? I've been playing a lot of free rolls lately on FT because I'm trying to mimic Chris Ferguson and build up a decent bankroll from nothing. I play my normal game for the normal stakes (single table s'n'g's) to make my poker income, but the bankroll from nothing has me intrigued. The problem is that I can't seem to make it to the money. I know only 1% get paid, but I've cashed out of hundreds of tournaments, you'd think I'd make it that far at least once. The thing I've noticed is that people will play ANY two cards. I flopped top set last night, my opponent went all in on the turn, and I had the second nuts. You'd need 46 to beat me with a straight, no flush draw, and of course what does my opponent turn up? 46, and he called a pre-flop raise with it! I'm not crying, sooner or later I'll make it happen. But does anyone else notice that free rolls are almost a different game? They seem to be all about luck. Your thoughts?

what is your opinion of tipping dealers/staff in tournaments? apparently a "controversy" has arisen surrounding main event champion jerry yang and chris ferguson, as supposedly when asked what yang would leave for the dealers, ferguson responded for him that he should leave nothing...ferguson later defended his actions by saying that harrah's has taken out over $1 million throughout the wsop to pay their dealers/floor staff so, what do you think of tipping the dealers after cashing in a tournament? to me, it's a personal decision much like the one you might make in a restaurant, if the service was good you leave a tip and perhaps a good one, if you felt the service was poor then you don't tip...but what is everyone else's opinion? harrah's distributes the tokes taken from the prize pools evenly to all dealers/floormen

Full Tilt vs Poker Stars: Which is better? I've played on both and really like both of them but I'm trying to find out which one is better. Who is harder to read in a live game? I've noticed that there are generally two types of people sitting at a live game or tourney. There are those wearing sunglasses who try their absolute hardest to never give away even the slightest change of expression. To them a poker face is absolutely dead, devoid of all emotion. Think Chris Ferguson as an example. Then there are those who are chatty, smile, and obviously are having a good time. To them a poker face is simply not acting any differently no matter what they're holding. Think Daniel Negraneau (sp?) as an example. So which type is harder to read? Does the great stone face just make it easier to pick up on extremely subtle differences? Or does the happy go lucky attitude ensure that some information will inevitably be given away?

How long does it take to build a decent bankroll? I'm trying to build a bankroll from nothing on PokerStars, and I'm up to about $65 without ever depositing a dime. I play mainly single table S'n'G's, and have been doing this since last fall. I never buy into a table for more than 5% of my bankroll, which means that I'm currently playing $3 games. I've been playing the $1.00 games for what feels like forever. I'm just wondering if anybody else (besides Chris Ferguson, who gave me the idea) has done this. The perfect offseason/draft for your team? Im a huge Jets fan and have been for about 12 years now. I think the problem in New York is Oline/Dline. For the offseason, I wish the Jets would sign Alen Faneca (Left Guard) from Pittsburgh. He would give this line a MAJOR boost between two young guys in Ferguson at LT and Mangold at Center. Then the Jets should go after Bob Sanders of Indianapolis. The Jets have Kerry Rhodes already and Sanders would beef this safety position to probably the best in the NFL. I would trade Chad Pennington and Laveraneous Coles to Kansas City (theres a rumor of this already) for their 1st round pick. This would reunite them with Herm Edwards and give him 2 starters. Then trade Jonathan Vilma to Cincinatti for Chad Johnson. The Bengals would kick @$$ with Vilma at MLB. Id hope they would make a serious move for Asante Samuel as well. Sorry to put this on you all? Do you remember February 1993 in England , when a young boy of 3 was taken from a Liverpool shopping centre by two 10-year-old boys? Jamie Bulger walked away from his mother for only a second, Jon Venables took his hand and led him out of the mall with his friend Robert Thompson. They took Jamie on a walk for over 2 and a half miles, along the way stopping every now and again to torture the poor little boy who was crying constantly for his mummy. Finally they stopped at a railway track where they brutally kicked him, threw stones at him, rubbed paint in his eyes, pushed batteries up his anus and cut his fingers off with scissors. Other mutilations were inflicted but not reported in the press. N.B. :- Remember, a 3year old cannot possibly defend themselves against a 10 year old, let alone of 2 them. What these two boys did was so horrendous that Jamie's mother was forbidden to identify his body. They then left his beaten small body on railway tracks so a train could run him over to hide the mess they had created. These two boys, even being boys, understood what they did was wrong, hence trying to make it look like an accident. This week Lady Justice Butler-Sloss has awarded the two boys ( now men ), anonymity for the rest of their lives when they leave custody with new identities. They will also leave custody early only serving just over half of their sentence. They are being relocated to Australia to live out the rest of their lives. They disgustingly and violently took Jamie's life away and in return they each get a new life! Please.... .
