Why do most every poker enthusiast have a "crush" on Phil Ivey? Phil Helmuth, no matter how many tirades he goes on, no matter how many times he belittles his opponents, no matter how much he wants to get on TV and make a jackass of himself - he is THE best no limit poker player alive today. You hear his opponents (such as Ivey and Negreanu) talk smack about him because they are jealous because he IS the best. In a mind game, wouldnt you want your opponent to think you have no fear of him? 11 bracelets after the one he won this year and a ton of accomplishments. Phil Ivey winning his Bracelets? Is there a place on line where I can watch Phil Ivey winning any of the bracelets he has won in the past. I am not sure which year or which event he has won them in, but he is my favorite player. I have tried Poker Tube, but it is not the easiest site to navigate, and YouTube. In High Stakes Poker tonight, why did Phil Ivey fold a King high flush draw on the flop? The bet on the flop wasn't a huge bet, he surprised me that he didn't call....was the king high flush draw not high enough? meaning he wasn't drawing to the nuts? thanks. not a paird board, 9 high flop I think.

Tough one here poker lovers, please help? Ok -Lets just Say I have $100,000 in my pocket (for fun) and walk into the Bellagio and am looking for a 2000/4000 cash game. I came to win and I am confident in my abilities. There are three tables open. The one on the left has a seat open - but its right next to Daniel Negreanu and he is stacked. The one on the left - there is a seat open across the table from Phil Ivey. The one in the middle has two seats open and no one I have ever seen or met are sitting there. Where do I sit and why?

Obviously Brad was trying to make a "play". Betting 300k to win a 50k pot is just bad poker. He bought in for over a 1 million and was just pushing his stack around. How do you play poker with idiots? I just got done playing in a cash game, bought in for around $100 total. I did not feel comfortable playing anyone at the table. I think of myself as a solid player who doesnt play bs cards. I watched a table and a player called 1-8th of his chips with 2-4 suited then called an allin bet to make it like 60 more. Flop had a 4 and 1higher 1 lower with heart draw, they guy only had a pair of 4s and called an allin vs aq hearts. 4th street was a q and it was over. This is BAD POKER. i know that you dont just sit and play the best hands but at a table of 10 in ohio at any charity game its redic. I lost all my money with the best hand preflop 2 times, a k-5 unsuited raised my aq suited and i lost to 555 wtf is that, i dont even bother reraising pre cuz these donkeys call like its nothing. i then lost it all with 99 and a guy had ak, called my 26$ bet into a 34 pot like it was nothing. How can a good poker player win vs DONKEYS, even Phil Ivey would have had trouble winning. peace

Why can I not win on Full Tilt poker? I'm not claiming to be Phil Ivey, or even a pro by any standard, but I can not win in the real money games on Fulltilt.com. I flop top pair....they make trips. I flop trips....they river a straight I bluff at a pot....they call with low pair I pre-raise with AK....I get called.....and AK never comes. Ever. I have played poker for almost 30 years. I win a fair amount in live games and am usually am in the top 5 in my weekly poker league. Someone give me some insight. Please!!!!! BTW... I am not a quitter so please don't suggest that unless you feel online poker is not on the up and up. I would quit once I figure out how to win :) Thanks!!!!

The great texas hold em player myth. Has anyone else noticed when you put the "pros" in with amateurs there ? is no difference in how good or successful they are. Hold em is such a ridiculously simple game that the best player at your table of 5+ is as good as phil ivey, daniel negraneu, phil the brat or any other fraud "pro". These celebrity players were grinding out about 50k-90k a year in a casino and now they have all there entry fees paid for. Have you come to this realization as well?

He goes allin. What would his hand range need to like for you to call profitably? PS: This was taken from a hand that took place in similiar fashion with LarsLuzak and Phil Ivey. Except... it was 500/1000 not 1/2. Phil Ivey showed TT so it was a 100k coin flip. Lars won.. Hey bigslick havent seen you in a while! Sincity is implying a fold. 2 pair beats Full House? I was watching poker....Texas Hold'em....and one guy had a full house 10's and 6's I believe and Phil Ivey had a pair of 10's and a Queen and they said in order for him to stay alive he needed a Queen on the river. If a queen did pop up that would only have been 2 pair. Would he have won because the queen was higher?
